Review Block button colors not working
-
Hi there,
Since yesterday’s update I’m having issues with the styling of the review block. If I use a blue button with white text, it automatically gets changed back to the default theme body color.
I can currently only change the text button color by going to customizor -> colors -> body and then edit the “text color”.How can I quickly fix this or is it possible that you guys update it quickly?
Thanks again for this amazing plugin 🙂

HI @Triton ! We’ve tried recreating your issue on our end. So far, it only comes up when trying to edit an old review block within a reusable block. Have you tried inserting a new review block to check if it’s also affected? If the new one is not, you may try duplicating the old one.

New review blocks are also affected. I’m not using reusable blocks either….
I tried creating a new review block and duplicating the old one, I keep getting the same results…
edit: If I need to redo all of the review blocks, that would mean I’d be busy for the next month as well.. I’ve got 100’s on one website alone…

Thank you for providing more details, @Triton ! We’ve been able to recreate the issue with the button text color on our end (by setting the button text color to #ffffff). We’ll be including a fix for it on the next update, and we’ll ensure that “inherit” as a color setting will only come up when the button text color setting for the review block is cleared.
However, we’re not yet able to find a situation where the color of the button is set to #f63d3d no matter what color the user chooses. We’ll let you know as soon as we come across such a situation.

Awesome. Thank you for the update. I’ll wait for the next update 🙂

For anyone running into the same problem, I’ve fixed it by downgrading to version 2.4.3

Hi Alexis,
Thanks! I’ll try it out on a staging site and report back later today 🙂

I’ve got a new bug now, a really big URL button… I’ve turned caching etc off, but doesn’t affect the button..
It’s only showing in a block from Ultimate Blocks, all other blocks are fine..

Hi @Triton ! We’re unable to recreate on our end what happened on your screenshot so far. What theme are you using? Do other blocks from our plugin exhibit this issue? If this still persists after turning off all other plugins and switching to Twenty Twenty-One, Twenty Twenty, or any other default theme, please inspect the link button and post a screenshot of any CSS code that’s making the link button larger than usual. You may check the CSS code for any of the unaffected buttons in the block toolbar if you want to see what the CSS code for toolbar buttons usually looks like.

Hi Alexis,
I saw you guys updated the plugin yesterday, tried it on staging site and review block was completely fixed. I pushed it to live website and i thought everything was going fine.
But, I just received a message from one of my editors and he told me that styled list block crashes when he tries to add one. I tested it myself and saw that the block worked until i selected a different block and the the styled list block crashed.
I restored an older version and the styled list block is working fine now. Hopefully this is enough info as I forgot to take screenshots.
Thanks,
Leo

Hi @Triton ! So far, we haven’t encountered an error that breaks the styled list block when selecting another block. We found another error where non-admin users who use the styled list were unable to replace the block’s selected icon due to a feature introduced in a recently-released version of the plugin.
What version of the plugin worked for you this time? If you notice themes or other plugins that’s not working properly with the latest version of our plugin (but works with the version you currently have), please also tell us about them so that we could determine what’s causing these errors. Screenshots of the error messages could also help us in this case.
